How do I clean and maintain my Tile
Our premium collections are designed to be "built to live in—not just look at," and maintaining their beauty is simple with the right routine. Because different materials require specific care, we have broken down the essentials below:
Ceramic and Porcelain Tile
- Routine Cleaning: Use clear water or a pH-neutral liquid cleaner (Such as Fila neutral cleaner) without soap.
- Process: After cleaning, rinse with clear water and wipe dry to prevent film buildup.
- Avoid: Do not use acid-based cleaners or sealers on glazed ceramic or porcelain tiles.
Natural Stone
- Specialized Care: Because natural stone is porous, avoid all acid or bleach-based cleaners, which can cause permanent etching.
- Cleaning: Use acid-free stone cleaners with a neutral pH.
- Protection: We highly recommend applying a penetrating/impregnating sealer upon installation to provide below-surface stain protection.
Glass Tile
- Gentle Maintenance: Use a non-abrasive, pH-neutral cleaner with a soft cloth or sponge.
- Note: Glass is non-porous and typically does not require sealing.
Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP)
- Daily Care: A dust-mop or broom is perfect for daily maintenance.
- Avoid Film: Never use floor polish, waxes, or oil soaps, as these leave a cloudy residue.
- Protection: Use felt tip protectors on all furniture legs and keep pet nails trimmed to prevent scratching.
Grout Care
- Seal Your Grout: For standard cementitious grouts, applying a high-quality penetrating sealer 72 hours after installation is essential to prevent staining.
- Premium & Epoxy Grouts: These are naturally stain-resistant; premium grouts (like TEC Power Grout) should be cleaned with a pH-neutral cleaner.
